Being self aware isn’t easy
because it’s more comfortable today
people believe things that aren’t
true
they construct entire philosophies
so they can be justified in not looking at reality
on purpose
people envelope themselves to protect how
fragile
the hold on what the world is supposed to be
instead of what
is
it gives them the ability to feel righteous
justifies them in being filled with anger
helps them point fingers at who is doing wrong
we
all
are
but it’s nice to feel like it’s not ourselves
so that we don’t participate in changing
society
if we were only this…
if we could go back to that…
we can’t
time for us flows forwards
the only solution is not to be wrapped in hostility
to step forward into the situation and become
change
for those who cannot step forward
we become
change
for those who cannot fathom anything different
but until the veil of ignorance and hate
shatters
breaks with the transforming weight of truth
we are the ones that cannot fathom anything
different
protected from reality by our own misbelief
we become the epitome of
delusional
